Dogs do not usually have issues in digesting fat, but in certain health conditions, a low fat diet is necessary to guarantee the health and well-being of the dogs, since instead a high-fat content would cause symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea. The conditions that require a low-fat diet are pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, gastritis, hyperlipidemia, and lymphangiectasia.
