Our Story

Meet Alexis

This is Alexis, the founder of Dogalicious. Alexis has loved animals since childhood, growing up in a home filled with dogs, cats, rabbits and even parrots. Caring for animals was never a phase in his life—it was a constant.

In 2007, Alexis adopted three pugs. Like many flat-faced breeds, they each struggled with ongoing health issues. The most heartbreaking moment came when Phoebe, one of the three, was diagnosed with late-stage cancer. The vets could not determine a clear cause, but Alexis began questioning what he had been feeding her. Most commercial dog food is heavily processed, filled with artificial additives and made with ingredients that don't resemble real food. He realised that if he wanted his pets to live healthier, longer, happier lives, fresh and transparent ingredients were essential.
