Dogalicious Co. Limited (“Dogalicious”, “we”, “us”) runs dogalicious.com, the Dogalicious app (app.dogalicious.com and the iOS and Android apps) and the Dr. D chat assistant. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We follow the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored hashed), delivery and billing addresses, and your language preference.
- Your pets: the details you or Dr. D record about your dog or cat – name, breed, age or birthday, weight, life stage, health conditions, allergies, medications, feeding goals, and any health reports or photos you upload. Some of this is health information about your pet; we treat it with the same care as your own.
- Orders and subscriptions: what you buy, delivery dates and addresses, payment method type and status, and DogaPoints, coupons and referrals. Card numbers are handled by our payment providers (Stripe and KPay) and never reach our servers.
- Conversations: what you write to Dr. D, in the app, on the website or on WhatsApp, and what she replies.
- Device and usage: the device type, app version, language, pages and screens used, and error reports, so the app works and we can fix what breaks. Push notification tokens, if you allow notifications.
- Photos: photos you take or upload for the AI photo booth or a health report. Photo booth images are processed by an AI service to create the picture you asked for.
- Location: only if you allow it, your approximate location is used on your device to show dog-friendly restaurants near you. We do not store it or share it.
Why we use it
- To deliver your orders, run your subscription, and take payment.
- To work out feeding portions and recipes that suit your pet, and to let Dr. D answer your questions with your pet’s details to hand.
- To tell you about your box: charges, deliveries, courier updates, failed payments, points that are about to expire. We send these by app notification, SMS, email or WhatsApp depending on what you have chosen.
- To run DogaPoints, referrals, reviews and birthday treats.
- To improve the app and Dr. D, using aggregated and de-identified information.
- To keep the service secure and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for anyone else’s advertising.
Who we share it with
- Delivery: SF Express receives your name, delivery address and phone number to deliver your box.
- Payments: Stripe and KPay process card and PayMe or FPS payments. They receive what is needed to take the payment.
- Messages: our SMS, email and WhatsApp providers receive your number or address and the message we send you.
- AI services: Dr. D and the photo booth use AI providers (Anthropic, Google and OpenAI) to generate replies and images. They receive the conversation or photo needed to do so and are contractually barred from using it to train their models.
- Hosting and analytics: our servers run on Amazon Web Services in Singapore; we use Google Analytics and a privacy-friendly analytics service to understand how the site and app are used.
- Law: where a law, court or regulator requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your account, pets and conversations: for as long as you have an account.
- Orders and invoices: seven years after the order, as Hong Kong accounting and tax rules require, even after your account is deleted. They are then no longer tied to any account.
- Photo booth images: the generated picture stays in your gallery until you delete it or your account.
- Dr. D conversations with visitors who never sign in: kept so that the same person can pick the conversation up later; conversations nobody claims may be deleted after 12 months.
Your choices
- See and change your data: in the app under Account, or by writing to us.
- Delete your account: in the app under Account → Delete my account. This removes your pets, plans, conversations, notifications, photos, points and sign-in. Past orders stay as sales records, detached from any account. Cancel any subscription first; a box already paid for is still delivered.
- Notifications: turn app notifications off in your phone’s settings at any time. Order and delivery texts continue because you need them to receive your food.
- Marketing: every marketing email and WhatsApp message has an unsubscribe option.
- Access and correction requests under the Ordinance: write to us at the address below. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests as the Ordinance allows.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, sign-in codes expire within minutes, and access to customer data inside Dogalicious is limited to staff who need it for their work.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
